Dennis Clarke was the first substitute USED in an FA Cup Final
In the 1968 FA Cup Final Dennis Clarke of West Bromwich Albion became the first substitute to be used in an FA Cup Final when he came on in the 91st minute to replace John Kaye.
The 1967 FA Cup Final saw the first 12 man squads when Cliff Jones of Tottenham Hotspur and Joe Kirkup of Chelsea were both included on the respective team sheets as substitutes. Neither got a game.
