National Hunt Racing
Right handed with stiff uphill finish. Chase course tricky, especially for novices.
Hurdle races are run on the flat course. Circuit 1 mile 5 furlong.
Flat Racing
Right handed oval of 1 mile 5 furlong round with a 4 furlong uphill run in.
Essentially a galloping track. Separate 5 furlong course also uphill.
Effect of Draw
High numbers marginally favoured on round course for distances of 7f and 1 mile.
High numbers favoured on 5f course when stalls are on the far side.
