What is a TKO?
A TKO is a Technical KnockOut in the sport of boxing
A referee can declare a technical knockout - T.K.O. - in cases where a participant is sufficiently injured, unbalanced or confused to be unable to continue the fight as opposed to a Knock Out (KO) where one fighter is unable to rise from the canvas within a specified period of time (out for the count).
