Gay Trip was Number 2 in the 1970 Grand National
Gay Trip the winner of the 1970 Aintree Grand National was number 2 on the race card and was ridden by Pat Taaffe. He was trained by former Champion Jockey and Champion Trainer Fred Rimell and carried the white, blue cross belts, scarlet hooped sleeves, white cap, blue spots colours of Mr A J Chambers.
Gay Trip also won the Mackeson Gold Cup twice when ridden by Terry Biddlecombe.
