First Golf Tournament Broadcast on Radio
Back in the early days of the Nissan Open Golf Tournament the event was known as the Los Angeles Open.
When the Los Angeles Open was played at the Riviera Country Club in California (which is it's current home) in 1929 it made history by becoming the first golf tournament ever to be broadcast on radio.
