2.35 Facilitas Brade Handicap Chase (for the Alanbrooke Challenge Cup) at Sandown Park
In and out sort of race with a number of shady looking characters. Too many wearing cheek pieces (sheepskin on bridle supposed to keep horse looking somewhere near forward) and first time blinkers. Even the favourite Millards Lad
has a tongue strap, although he does seem very consistent.
The only runner without any extras The Luder does quite often wear blinkers but I did notice that Paul Nicholls leaves them off the horse every so many runs and it doesn′t seem to affect unduly the way the nag goes. Quite often has a bit of a gap between runs - 6 weeks this time. Might be worth a pound at 5/1.
Nothing to get too heavily involved with in this one as what you see is what you get but the fact is something is going to win!
